Growing up in a supportive family, she was the youngest of three siblings. Linda attended the University of Arkansas. She married Jimmy Johnson on July 12, 1963, and they had two sons, Brent and Chad, before divorcing in 1990 after 27 years.
After her divorce, she married Roger Kent Aronson. Linda was known for her teaching, including time spent in Venezuela, and had a passion for travel.

Jimmy Johnson’s Marriage To Linda Kay Cooper
Jimmy Johnson and Linda Kay Cooper first met when they were both students at the University of Arkansas in the early 1960s.
Jimmy was a 20-year-old football player at the time, while Linda was 19. After dating for a short time, Jimmy and Linda decided to take their relationship further.
They got married on July 12, 1963, surrounded by the support of their families. During their 27 years of marriage, Jimmy and Linda had two sons, Brent and Chad Johnson.
Both sons brought them a lot of happiness, and Linda especially loved being a mother. However, their marriage came to an end in 1990 after nearly three decades together.
